{Webinar Replay} I’m not making money: now what?

We are thrilled to have Corinne McKay back on our platform in a special “part 2” to the webinar she gave last year about leveraging data to set the right rates for you.

Don’t know Corinne?
She’s not only been president of the ATA, she’s run one of the longest-run courses for freelancers — scroll down for her bio!

In part I of this webinar, we learned how to calculate how much you need or want to earn as a freelancer in order to reach your financial goals, and how to break that down into an hourly or per-word rate.

But what if that rate is double, triple, or quadruple what you’re earning now? Don’t despair, there are strategies that you can use for this too.

In this webinar you’ll learn:
✅ How to differentiate between situations where you can’t earn more and where you choose not to earn more
✅ How to evaluate your options if you’re stuck at a non-thrilling income level right now
✅ A very basic technique for marketing to direct clients that anyone can implement right away

Presenter Bio:
Corinne McKay is an ATA-certified French to English translator and a Colorado court-certified French interpreter; she has been a full-time freelancer since 2002, specializing in international development, corporate communications, and non-fiction book translation. Early in her freelance career, Corinne developed a particular interest in writing books and teaching courses on business development for other freelance translators. Her book How to Succeed as a Freelance Translator is now in its third edition with over 12,000 copies sold, and her blog Thoughts on Translation, has twice won the ProZ community choice award for best blog about translation. Corinne recently completed a seven-year term on the board of the American Translators Association, serving as ATA president from 2017 until 2019.
